Good morning Kalkaska, and welcome back to your number one news source… on the world wide web! With a little help from Mr. Hopson’s computer science class from the high school, we’re finally ready to set sail on this new leg of our journey to spread freedom and truth like never before. We hope you continue to support us as we do. While this new venture is sure to bring Kalkaska to the national, maybe even global forefront of news publications, we promise we will not forget about any of you, our loyal base of supporters from this beautiful town. This will bring change, but some things will stay the same. Our offices will be open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, all day on Saturday, and closed on Sunday, (as all businesses should be). We will no longer be a sponsor for the middle school’s bald eagle hunting festival. It was a long and arduous decision, but the website costs $10.99 a month to put on the internet, so we cannot spare the funds. The Chronicle will be looking for sponsors in the meantime, but we cannot afford to continue to extend our support. Hopefully this new website will pay dividends in spreading the news of our town’s hunting traditions to the rest of the nation. Maybe even a few Canadians or even Europeans will stop by, G-d willing. Lastly, it is with great pleasure that we announce the hiring of some new staff for the running of the website, please help us welcome Mark Davis, Jackie Frye, Eduardo Lopez, and Noam Kikelstein-Yidmann! Thank you for reading, Kalkaska, and see you on the web!
