Dana White explaining how repeated head trauma is actually good for fighters
Israel Adesanya will rematch Sean Strickland for the middleweight title. While he is 1-2 in his last 3, Dana White argues that Adesanya is not being given special treatment. The UFC president announced mandatory immediate rematches for all fighters, new company policy, to be applied indefinitely. "Look, we've got a lot of problems with judging and unfair treatment right now, so we're just going to keep rematching everyone in the company until we get the result we want." Said a sober Dana White. While this ruling may be positive for Adesanya and Strickland, it has had unintended consequences. A notable critic was Middleweight Val Woodburn, who protested, "Woah hold up I gotta rematch Bo Nickal? ...Whatchu mean forever? Bitch what the fuck I just got here?! Send me to Bellator I'm not doing this shit." Unfortunately for Woodburn, he and other rookies will be stuck fighting contenders in perpetuity. Although to be fair, contenders aren't really a thing anymore, with no new fights being scheduled. As an added promotional gimmick, the UFC announced that fighters will be given matching rings to symbolize their bond with their opponent, as if they're married. "Izzy was behind this, wasn't he?" Tweeted Sean Strickland, "This is some gay fuckin LGBQueer bullshit if you ask me." Regardless of who you ask, the rings have brought much attention to the sport. Fans have long held concerns about spouse beating in the MMA scene, with no more vocal critic than Dana White himself, who said this policy would fix that issue. "Finally, domestic abuse will be monetized, not given away for free", said White. And so we turn it to the fans. What do you all think? Is this a good decision?
