Sean Strickland has been forced to vacate the Middleweight, popping for PEDs. Which PEDs? Just one: alcohol. Strickland blew a 0.47 after UFC 293, exchanging the middleweight strap for a felony charge. Highway patrol officers deduced he began drinking during the event, and an investigation was launched. Security footage revealed Strickland began drinking and smoking at a bar with Keith Peterson, approx. 2 hours before the fight. Israel Adesanya was called in for questioning, and admitted he was suspicious. "Yeah, I could smell it on his breath when he came in close for the clinch. F*%$*n Cr*%!er." Upon rewatching fight tape, Strickland was shown to be doing shots with his corner even in between rounds. "I knew that motherf**er would try and cheat, f%$!n cr*%!*er". Sean Strickland was initially not available for comment, but did eventually reach out. The former champion called Kalkaska at 4 in the morning for an interview, stating in perfect English, "youu fuggn muffuckn fug-gn pieace-hic!-ahshit-fuggn f-ag fu-hic!-ggn.. gimmeabeer fugyeadude" before what sounded like car horns and screaming, and Strickland abruptly dropping the call.
