The Israeli defense ministry released an official press statement this morning, in response to claims of war crimes and genocide. "Israel has been criticized a lot lately on the internet. Accusations range from claims of apartheid, to corruption, to genocide. That's all just bullshit statistics. And Israel has a right to defend itself from said bullshit." The defense ministry went on to state that counting the casualties in Gaza is antisemitic, as that takes attention away from the 6 million killed in the holocaust. "Look, if people start talking about this many children died, this many without food, this many without water, we will lose public support! Israel has a right to control the narrative so that we can defend ourselves properly." Journalists have been barred from entering Gaza with these restrictions. "Why do they want to go to Gaza anyways? Nothing is happening there. We're just renovating a few places to put in a parking garage. Take my word for it. You have to."
